Q. Where is Katie O'Connors Hostel located?
A. We're just off the Square, on Frances Street, in Kilrush, Co.Clare, Ireland. For more information, refer to the How To Find Us page
Q. What is included in your price?
A. Included in your price is your bed for the night, all necessary bed linen, free hot showers, free WIFI and access to all of the facilities listed here
Q. Is there a lockout or curfew in effect
A. No, you are free come and go as you wish. We only ask that you be mindful of the other guests in the Hostel
Q. What time must I check in and check out at?
A. You can check in at any time after 2pm. If you happen to arrive before 2pm, we can store your bags & bikes for you until it is possible to check in. Check out time is 11.00am at the latest
Q. Are any bedrooms ensuite?
A. Yes, some rooms have private bathrooms. The others all have toilets and showers within a small distance of the room
Q. When are you open?
A. We are typically open from mid-March to mid-October each year. However if needed we can cater for larger groups during the Winter, refer to Group Booking
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. In order to cancel, you must notify us at least 48 hours prior to your arrival. Failure to do so may result in your credit card being charged for your first nights stay
Q. What methods of payment are accepted?
A. Currently we only accept Cash. However Credit and Debit card payment is possible through our online partners, HostelWorld. Refer to Booking for more information. Alternativly payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer 10 days before arrival
Q. Do I have to be a member of any association?
A. No, you do not. However, special rates are available to members of certain associations, such as the IHH
Q. Is smoking allowed on the premises?
A. No. Laws in Ireland mean it is not possible to allow to smoking inside. However, we have a garden area that all guests are free to use
Q. Where can I buy food?
A. You have a number of options.  A Supervalu supermarket is a 2 minute walk from the hostel.  There are also Tesco and Aldi stores and a number of smaller shops in the area (all within walking distance)
Q. Is breakfast included?
A. Not generally. We can, however, cater for larger groups if needed. Refer to Group Booking for more information
